Rosberg won nine races and set off eight times in pole position, winning the title at the last race in the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi where he came second behind team-mate Lewis Hamilton. The championship was marked as in the last two years by the duel between the two Mercedes drivers, leaving only one victory to the opponents.
